I was watching a YouTube video the other day and in it, Chris Jones, the founder of Pumpchasers, made a very interesting statement.

He said, “Motivation Is Bullshit!”

When he said it, it immediately struck a cord. And I quickly realized I 100% agree.

In my opinion, people spend far too much time seeking motivation.

They won’t go workout unless they are motivated.

They won’t prepare their meals in advance unless they feel motivated.

The problem with motivation is that it comes and goes.

Just think about it. When you first start your journey to lose weight, you are motivated and ready to go.

You wake up, you workout, and you do all the things you need to do to reach your goal.

But after a few days you start to notice that motivation has all but went away.

Now, instead of jumping out the bed first thing in the morning with excitement, you are dreading getting up to go workout.

And that’s perfectly normal. No one is motivated 100% of the time.

That’s why discipline is so important.

Its discipline that will keep you going.

Its forming new habits that will ultimately help you reach your goals, no matter what they may be.

Yes, motivation can no doubt help you get started.

But what happens when you don’t have the motivation to get up and go to the gym?

Will you just skip your workout for that day?

Not if you have focused on building discipline.

When you are disciplined you do what needs to be done, regardless of how you feel.

And that my friend is how you will get real results.
